POLICY OVERVIEW
SAVEDANK respects copyright and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). If you own a copyright and believe content on the site infringes it, you can send us a takedown notice and we'll act on it. If your content was taken down and you believe that was a mistake, you can file a counter-notice.
FILING A TAKEDOWN NOTICE
Send notices to [email protected]. To be actionable under the DMCA, your notice must include all of:
- A signature (electronic is fine) of the person authorized to act for the copyright owner.
- Identification of the copyrighted work being infringed.
- The exact URL or other identifier of the allegedly infringing content on SAVEDANK.
- Contact information — name, address, phone, email.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and you are authorized to act.
Incomplete notices are returned. False notices have legal consequences under § 512(f).
FILING A COUNTER-NOTICE
If your content was removed and you believe the removal was wrong, send a counter-notice to [email protected] including:
- Your signature.
- Identification of the removed material and the location where it appeared.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, phone, and consent to jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the US, any judicial district where SAVEDANK's service provider may be found), and that you'll accept service from the original complainant.
On a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material in 10–14 business days unless the original complainant files a court action.
REPEAT INFRINGERS
We terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright. The threshold is judgment-based; in practice it's two valid takedowns against the same account within twelve months. A counter-notice that prevails doesn't count toward the threshold.
